Co teaching with Ira Temple this week-long workshop at Yiddish New York 2026.

Shkoyekh! You wrote some songs! And you'd like to perform them with other people! This workshop is about arranging original music with a band. If you're a songwriter, please come prepared with a song or two! If you're an instrumentalist, come prepared to support the song! And if you're both, you'll do it all! Ira and Avi bring decades of experience creating new music with and for bands of many kinds. Let's get inside your original material, and find ways for this ensemble to bring it into the world (starting with the student concert on Thursday).
